The Marici
Accountability Review

A claim-by-claim record of public statements made by the nonprofit Marici (marici.org), and what could be verified from public sources.

§ 01 — Reconstructing the public record

When the AI claims appeared.

The Internet Archive Wayback Machine holds 40+ snapshots of marici.org since 2017. The table below reconstructs, from those snapshots alone, when each of the AI claims under review entered Marici's public-facing copy.

This page makes one factual point: the expansive AI claims documented in the AI Analysis and at /claims/ — "the world's most sophisticated AI," "over 50 AI tools including AI Intelligence Analyst / AI Prosecutor / AI Behavioral Scientist," "predictive mapping at 80%+ accuracy," and the "full-stack AI nonprofit" label — are not present in archived snapshots of marici.org from September 2021 through at least February 2026.

During that five-year window, the same taxonomy ("intelligence collectors / analysts / prosecutors / behavioral scientists") was used by Marici to describe members of the human team, growing from "over 100" in 2021 to "300+" in early 2026. The expansive AI rebranding — in which the same job titles are reused as the names of "AI tools" — appears in the live marici.org by mid-May 2026, after the last archived snapshot.

Every cited snapshot below is linkable. Readers can independently verify, sentence by sentence, what marici.org said on the date in question.

§ 02 — The timeline

Dated against Wayback snapshots.

  1. Original incorporation as Take Her Back

Earliest archived Wayback snapshot of marici.org. The organisation is operating under the name “Take Her Back”. No AI claims of any kind appear in the public-facing copy.

    Wayback snapshot 20170921021252 →

  2. Modern marici.org site goes live; one modest AI mention

First archived snapshot of the redesigned marici.org with the modern “Our Solution” structure. The page contains a single AI reference: “Our gamified AI-based digital learning program brings more fun into the shelter homes and teaches survivors conversational English in 6–12 months.” That is a survivor-education app, not an AI tool for raid or prosecution.

The same homepage describes the team as “an interdisciplinary team of over 100 researchers, lawyers, behavioral scientists, data analysts, community builders, aftercare, and government relations specialists.” “Behavioral scientists” and “data analysts” appear here as human roles, not AI tools.

    Wayback snapshot 20210919120026 →

  3. /our-solution/ unchanged: still the same single AI mention

The “gamified AI-based digital learning program” line remains the only AI reference on /our-solution/. No mention of “sophisticated AI”, “50 AI tools”, “full-stack AI nonprofit”, “AI Prosecutor”, “AI Behavioral Scientist”, “AI Intelligence Analyst”, or “predictive mapping”.

    Wayback snapshot 20240304060013 →

  4. Still no expansive AI claims; team still described as human

Homepage snapshot describes the team as “an interdisciplinary team of over 280+ intelligence collectors, analysts, prosecutors, community builders, aftercare, and government relations specialists.” The taxonomy “intelligence collectors / analysts / prosecutors” is used to describe people, not AI tools.

/our-solution/ at the same date contains the impact assertion “Marici’s holistic solution reduces child sex trafficking by over 80% in highly affected regions.” “Sophisticated AI”, “50 AI tools”, “full-stack AI nonprofit”, and the named “AI Prosecutor / Behavioral Scientist / Intelligence Analyst” tools are not present.

  5. Last archived snapshot before the AI rebrand

Homepage snapshot, 8 February 2026. Team taxonomy: “an interdisciplinary team of over 300+ intelligence collectors, analysts, prosecutors, community builders, aftercare, and government relations specialists.” Still describing humans. “sophisticated AI”, “50 AI tools”, “full-stack AI”, and the named “AI Prosecutor / Behavioral Scientist / Intelligence Analyst” tools are not present.

  6. The expansive AI claims appear; donor tiers observed

The expansive AI claims documented at /claims/ and /ai-analysis/ — “the world’s most sophisticated AI”, “over 50 AI tools including AI Intelligence Analyst, AI Prosecutor, AI Behavioral Scientist”, “the world’s first ‘full-stack’ AI nonprofit”, “predictive mapping at 80%+ accuracy” — are present on the live marici.org by the time of this publication’s observation in mid-May 2026.

The donor-tier widget (“Save 1 Life — $500” etc.) is also observed on marici.org/donate/ on 16 May 2026 and captured on the screenshot at Claim 05. Because the donor widget is a JavaScript-rendered embed, its text does not appear in archived static HTML of marici.org/donate/, so the precise date the tiers were introduced cannot be established from Wayback alone.

  7. Open letter dispatched to Marici

An open letter requesting substantiation of the AI and impact claims is transmitted via the marici.org contact form.

  8. No response received

As of the date of this update, no response from Marici has been received. The right of reply remains open and any reply will be published on this site verbatim.

§ 03 — Snapshot index

Every archived URL referenced.

For independent re-verification, here are the archived URLs of the marici.org root, /our-solution/, and /donate/ at the dates discussed above. Any other Wayback snapshot can be located via the CDX API at web.archive.org/cdx/search/cdx?url=marici.org.

Snapshots were selected to bracket each period under discussion. Wayback holds many more captures across these and adjacent dates; the CDX API enumerates them all. Readers are encouraged to spot-check arbitrary additional snapshots to verify the pattern.

§ 04 — Methodological note

What this page is, and isn't.

A negative finding in the Wayback Machine is not proof a claim never appeared on the live site at the relevant time. The Wayback Machine archives discrete points in time, not the live state of the page between snapshots. Marici may have published, then removed, then re-published any of the claims above between the snapshots cited.

What this page records is what is currently locatable in the archived public record — which is a question of public-record evidence, not motive. Marici has been invited, in the open letter, to provide any earlier archival or contemporaneous record that places these AI claims on marici.org before mid-May 2026. Any such evidence will be published on this site verbatim and the relevant rows above will be updated and logged in the changelog.
